my Love . . .
. . . happy anniversary,
*the book featured in this image is one that we’ve gained comfort from in recent weeks,
thank you all
for the tremendous outpouring of support,
in phone calls, emails, flowers, thoughts and prayers for our Jake . . .
. . . Jake was an integral part of our family, home and business. he would greet family, friends and clients, enthusiastically at the door.
he would go to them when they were happy but especially when they were sad. he would lift their spirits.
Jake LOVED ball, to go for a ride, go for a hike, go to the mountains and go for a walk. 🙂
but more than anything else Jake was devoted to us.
because of our job, for the past 8 years, we were able to spend almost
24 hours a day together, every day,
until his last breath at home,
surrounded by the toys,
treats and his people
that he loved.
thank you to
Sheena, and the Cochrane & Area Humane Society, for seeing Jake in our “cat-less” family, 😉
Dr. Sulko, and the friendly staff at Rocky Ridge Pet Hospital, for taking such good care of Jake over the years,
Dr. Carswell, and the dedicated staff at Fish Creek 24 Hour Pet Hospital, for the warmth, kindness and respect that you showed our family,
Sheri, for loving Jake like he was your own,
Dr. Jafar, of Royal Veterinary Hospital, for comforting our souls and easing Jake’s passage,
the countless people whose hearts Jake touched in his short time here . . . we had no idea.
adopted 28 July, 2010 to 28 June, 2018.
this has been a tremendously difficult time for us but,
what lifts our spirits is asking ourselves,
“what would Jake want us to do?”
