James and I believe that real change happens at the community level. we have always felt a sense of responsibility to contribute what we can, when we can. that’s the idea behind the warm feelings campaign. we wish to encourage others to help and spread the warm feelings.
we will do this through:
- informing others about how they may help.
- raising awareness through professional photography.
- expressing our appreciation and gratitude to those that lend their support.
with that in mind . . .
while volunteering our photography for the animals awaiting adoption at the Cochrane & Area Humane Society, James and I were overwhelmed by the hundreds of animals looking for homes every year. Having adopted our boy Jake from a rescue society we have experienced first hand the joy of providing him a safe and loving home and watching him flourish in that environment. We wish to do what we can to help reduce the number of animals in shelters and foster homes.
so this year the Warm Feelings Campaign™ will be featuring . . .
in our blog each week, rescue societies (please see our list below) and the wonderful work their volunteers do to improve the lives of animals. In doing so we wish to inform folks about the different rescue societies in and around Calgary. We hope this will encourage others to adopt from, volunteer for or donate to a rescue society.
For each rescue society we feature, we will provide professional photography for some of their animals and promote their causes on our social networks.
