Go4aWalk? day #161 to #163 . . .

day #161 to #163 complete . . . 30, 37 and 48 minute long walks in the neighbourhood to start this week.

it was nice that it was windy on Tuesday because it kept the bugs down.  we saw a lot of other dogs and Jake got to meet a few of them.  it was great seeing so many people out walking and enjoying the weather.

today’s walk was interesting . . . we managed to keep off all the freshly sprayed grasses and the sidewalks weren’t too hot so Jake’s paw pads didn’t get burned.  after the walk he loved sleeping in the shade provided by our tree.

Go4aWalk? day #164 to #167 . . .

day #164 to #167 complete . . . 65, 30, 60 and 48 minute long walks in the neighbourhood to end this week.  the rain returned with a vengeance to Calgary on Friday.

we walked to the bank on Saturday on a busy street.  Jake did very well.

during Thursday’s walk Jake’s nose was working overtime.  he had scented this amazing, lone purple iris . . .

Go4aWalk? day #152 to #160 . . .

day #152 to #160 complete . . . we took many 35 to 45 minute long pack walks this past week.  thankfully they were mostly dry as we planned our walks around many rain events . . . which was no small achievement in Calgary. 

we walked to the grocery store, the bank and just around our neighbourhood.  that’s when we noticed the most ubiquitous flowering plant in Calgary in full bloom.    dandelions are colourful, edible and pretty.  children love them and never get into trouble for “picking some flowers for mommy.”
